Vivo has today officially unveiled its new budget-friendly smartphone, the Vivo Y81i in Nepal. The Vivo Y81i is the newest addition to the Y series of smartphones that features a notch on the display and comes ready with face unlock. The Vivo Y81i is an entry-level smartphone from the company and it is priced at Rs.18,990 in Nepal. It will be available in Red, Black, and Blue color options.

In terms of specifications, the Vivo Y81i features a large 6.22-inch FullView HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels, 19:9 aspect ratio and a screen-to-body of 87.9%. Under the hood, it houses a Quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage that is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. As for the battery, it features a 3260mAh non-removable battery. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with FunTouch OS 4.0 on the top. The smartphone lacks a fingerprint sensor but it does come with face unlock feature. As for the connectivity features, it supports Dual SIM (Dual 4G), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, Micro USB 2.0, USB-OTG, 3.5mm headphone jack.
In the optics department, the device features a single 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and LED Flash. On the front, it comes with a 5-megapixel camera sensor with AI-based Face Beauty feature for taking selfies.
