After the successful launch of Nokia 7 last month, HMD Global strikes again with their new entry-level smartphone the Nokia 2. Nokia 2 is the latest budget smartphone from the company priced at just €99 ( approx Rs.11,940) boasting a 5-inch HD display and a massive 4100mAh battery.
Talking about the build first, the Nokia 2 comes with a 6000 series aluminum frame and a solid polycarbonate body at the back. And surprisingly the phone is also splash proof with IP52 ratings. The new Nokia 2 features a 5-inch HD LTPS Display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 at the front. The device is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor coupled with Adreno 304 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The Onboard storage stands at 8GB that can be expanded via a microSD card up to 128GB. The main highlight of this device is the 4100 mAh battery, as it promises to offer 2 days of battery life on a single charge. The phone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat, however, the company has promised that the device will soon receive the Android Oreo update. Connectivity option includes; 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, micro USB, Bluetooth, and Dual-Sim.
As for the camera, the device sports an 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 5MP front-facing camera. The company has also included their new feature called ‘Bothie’ into the device.

The Nokia 2 is priced at €99 (approx Rs.11,940) and is about to go on sale from mid-November. As of now, there is no any information about the release and pricing of the device in Nepal, however, it is expected to cost between Rs.11,000-Rs.12,500. The device comes in three color options; Pewter Black, Pewter White, and Copper.
