Coolpad Cool 2 Goes Official with 18:9 display and dual rear cameras

Coolpad has recently launched a new smartphone called the Coolpad Cool 2 in its homeland China. It is the successor to the Coolpad Cool 1 smartphone, which comes loaded with face recognition feature, IPX4 water-resistant and dual rear cameras. As of now, there is no information about the price and availability of the phone. The Coolpad Cool 2 features a metal unibody design and has a 5.7-inch HD+ LCD display which offers 1440 x 720 pixels resolution along with 18:9 display. As for the internals, the phone is fuelled by a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor paired with Mali T-860 GPU. The phone has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage along with support to expand storage. On the software front, the phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS with Cool UI on top and is backed by a 3,200mAh non-removable battery. In terms of connectivity, the phone offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Dual-SIM slots, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a micro-USB 2.0. The fingerprint scanner lies on the back.

As for the cameras, the Coolpad Cool 2 is packed with a dual rear camera setup, which combines a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 0.3-megapixel secondary sensor, while, on the front, it comes with an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calling. The camera also offers beauty mode and a Bokeh effect mode.
