After much anticipation, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has finally gone ahead and unveiled its two new devices, the Honor 9X, and 9X Pro. The smartphone was announced today at a launch event held in China. Both the Honor 9X and 9X Pro are mid-range smartphones that come with some impressive specifications including HiSilicon Kirin 810 chipset, OLED display, and pop-up selfie cameras. Honor 9X
The Honor 9X comes with a stunning borderless 6.59-inch Full-HD+ OLED panel with a screen resolution of 2340×1080 pixels and a pixel density of 391PPI. Under the hood, it houses a Kirin 810 octa-core SoC coupled with 4/6GB RAM and 64/128GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 512GB. It is equipped with a fine 4,000mAh battery with normal 10W charging support. As for the software, it runs on Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.1.1 OS.
For photography, it features a dual-camera setup at the back which includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Upfront, it comes with a 16MP pop-up camera with f/2.2 aperture. Other camera features include 3D Portrait Light Effect, Portrait mode, AI Anti-Shake, 480fps super slow-motion videos, Super Night Mode and more.
Honor 9X Pro
Design-wise, the Honor 9X Pro looks very identical to the Honor 9X with a full view display, pop-up selfie camera and glass back. It has the same 6.59-inch Full-HD+ OLED panel. Inside, it houses the same Kirin 810 octa-core processor paired with 8GB RAM and 128/256GB internal storage. It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery with normal 10W charging support. As for the software, it runs on Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.1.1 OS. One extra thing that improves the 9X Pro than the 9X is the addition of NINE liquid cooling to ensure efficient thermal performance.
As for the cameras, the Honor 9X Pro sports a triple rear camera setup which combines a 48-megapixel primary sensor, 2-megapixel depth sensor, and 8MP wide-angle camera. Upfront, it comes with a 16MP pop-up camera with f/2.2 aperture.

Pricing and Availability
Talking about the pricing, the Honor 9X is available in three configurations – 4GB RAM/64 GB (US$203), 6GB RAM/64 GB (US$232), and 6GB RAM/128 GB (US$276), while on the other hand, the 9X Pro comes in two variants: 8GB RAM/128 GB storage variant that costs US$320, and 8GB/256 GB storage variant that costs US$349.
