Alongside the Redmi Note 7 Pro, Xiaomi also unveiled its new budget smartphone dubbed as Redmi Note 7 at a launch event in India. The Redmi Note 7 comes as a successor to the last year’s popular Redmi Note 6. The Redmi Note 7 price starts with Rs.9,999 for the 3GB + 32GB variants and the 4GB + 64GB variants will be offered at Rs. 11,999.
The Redmi Note 7 comes with a glass body design and has a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ LCD Dot Notch display with a resolution of 2340×1080 and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Inside, the device is powered by an octa-core 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 coupled with 3GB/4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage. The storage is also expandable with a microSD card. The device runs on Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 skin running on top of it.
Under the hood, it houses the same 4000mAh battery seen on the Redmi Note 7 Pro that supports Quick Charge 4.0 as well. As far as the connectivity features are concerned, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, 4G VoLTE, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS and Bluetooth 5.0.
For photography, the Redmi Note 7 features a dual camera setup at the rear consisting of a 12MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and a secondary 2MP camera. At the front. there is a 13MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. Other camera features include EIS, AI Portrait mode, AI Scene detection, Face Recognition, HDR etc.
