After multiple leaks and rumors, Samsung has finally announced two new smartphones under its A series- the Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6 Plus. These are the mid-range smartphones from the company that comes packed with 18:9 infinity display, Bixby voice assistant along with impressive selfie cameras. The phone will be made available in Blue, Black, Gold, and Lavender color variants.
Samsung Galaxy A6
The Galaxy A6 comes with a metal build and has a 5.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720×1480 pixels along and an 18:9 display. Underneath, it is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor clubbed with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB internal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. The handset is backed by a 3000mAh battery and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with Samsung’s own TouchWiz skin on top. As for the security, the Galaxy A6 includes Face Unlock feature along with the fingerprint scanner.
In the optics department, the smartphone packs a single 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, LED flash, and f/1.7 aperture. At the front, there’s a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/1.9 and LED Flash.

Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus
The Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus features a slightly larger 6.0-inch Super AMOLED Full-HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2220×1080 pixels along with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The phone is being powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset clocked at 1.8GHz paired with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage which also supports memory expansion up to 400GB. The phone houses a larger battery of 3,500mAh and operates on Android 8.0 (Oreo) out-of-the-box.
As for the cameras, the phone comes with a dual rear camera setup which combines a 16 MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 5 MP secondary sensor with f/1.9 aperture. On the front, there’s a 24 MP selfie camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash.
