Huawei has recently announced the launch of the latest mid-range smartphone- the Huawei Y9 2018 in Thailand. The Huawei Y9 2018 offers similar specs as the last year’s popular Huawei Nova 2i. Just like the Nova 2i, the new Huawei Y9 also sports a dual camera setup on both front and rear. The company is yet to reveal the pricing and availability details of the phone, however, it is speculated to cost around $250 (roughly Rs.25,000).
Specifications
Speaking of its specifications, the new Huawei Y9 has a 5.93-inch Full HD+ IPS display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution. It comes with an aspect ratio of 18:9 along with 2.5D curved glass protection on top. Underneath, it is being powered by 2.3GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage. The phone does offer storage expansion via a microSD card. The phone is backed up by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery and operates on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 skin on top of it. The fingerprint scanner is mounted on the back panel. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG and Dual-Sim Support. The phone will be available in three colours — Black, Blue and Gold.
As far as cameras are concerned, the Huawei Y9 packs a dual camera setup on both the front and rear side. The dual rear camera combines 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel sensor with LED Flash support and also, there’s a dual 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel sensor on the front.
